I used to suffer from depression for a very long time. And then you have to try to find a new one, which can take time, and can be very overwhelming & frustrating.

I suggest you see your doctor, but also try looking into therapy first. Cognital behavioral therapy is usually the best for people who suffer from depression, it's more interactive than just talking/venting. And if you can, do your best to exercise as often as you can, it is a natural way to help lift depression by releasing endorphins in your body. Yoga is also known to help relieve depression.

If you have tried everything without much help, I'd suggest you might want to give hypnosis a try, it just might work for you. I recently recommended a friend to a website to download and listen to this hypnosis treatment for her depression. She was a little bit overweight and didn't want to take medicine because of the potential weight gain and the side effects... the hypnosis helped her during the hardest time in her life and she certainly has a brighter view of her life now.
